Mayor
  The Honorable  Omar Neal - was born in Tuskegee, Alabama to Homer Lewis Neal and Rosa Neal Harris at John A. Andrews Hospital in Tuskegee, where at a very young age he began being shaped and educated. His very first school, St. Josephs Catholic school was where Neal would make his debut as a proud citizen of Tuskegee.

Comfortably on his way Neal subsequently attended Washington Public during his elementary years and then Tuskegee Public Schools where he remained through high school. Neal was an esteemed graduate in the Tuskegee Institute High School, Class of 1975.

Remaining true to his home, Neal was accepted to Tuskegee Institute, (now Tuskegee University) where he earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and was a colorful member of the Marching Crimson Pipers Band. After completing his studies at Tuskegee, Neal went on to attend the Montgomery Police Academy before returning home to Tuskegee where he served as a Youth Counselor with the Outreach Modification Program, a project of the Juvenile Probation Department of Macon County. Neal also wrote a proposal and established the Youth Aide Division of the Tuskegee Police Department, where he served as the departments founding director.

In pursuit of his purpose, Neal founded, "You Got the Power," Enterprises Inc. and has spent the majority of his life motivating people into being all that they can be, by taking charge of their lives. You Got the Power Enterprises; Inc., is a communications company that specializes in talk radio, motivational workshops, media consulting, advertising and motivational speaking. The syndicated radio talk show is heard throughout the state of Alabama and parts of Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia and has a potential listening audience of over 3,000,000 people. The corporation has been in existence for seventeen years and has produced and aired in excess of five thousand radio talk shows. Neal has trained more than forty thousand participants in various seminars and workshops.

At a very early age Omar Neal discovered that his calling in life was to share information with others and to allow others to teachthrough sharing their own special truths with the world. Neal believes, "that we are all possessors of some truth, and as we are able to bring our truths together, then and only then will we be able to come closer to the absolute truth." A dynamic speaker, Neal is able to hold audiences of thousands on the edge of their seats. He has a way of making people feel comfortable in sharing their thoughts. He has had the opportunity to interview international personalities as well as the common citizen in the neighborhood, making each feel comfortable and valued.

In his most recent endeavors, Neal was the Coordinator for the Macon County Coalition for Community Advancement a federally funded youth drug & alcohol prevention plan. Macon County was one of only six counties in the State of Alabama that was selected to implement a capacity-building grant for prevention services. The MCCCA Coalition is the largest coalition in the State.

On November 7, 2008 the people of Tuskegee Alabama elected Omar Neal, by a majority vote, to the office of Mayor. Neals tenure as Mayor of the City of Tuskegee officially ensued, November 3, 2008. Completing Neals family are daughter, Omari Neal (age 10) and a devoted wife Debbie Neal.
